在古希腊神话中，奥德修斯在遭遇海难后，神圣美丽而闻名的诺西卡公主用蜡菊治愈其伤口。
当奥德修斯询问她永恒美丽背后的秘密时，她透露是源于这种不朽的金色太阳花。
